Head to the left side of the dashboard and hover over the barcode icon to view "My Products". After clicking on "My Products" It should take you to the following page where you can view all products.
Here is where you are able to search all products and view all product information when clicking on the arrow.
To edit simply hover over the area you would like to make changes to and a pencil or a dropdown will appear so you are able to make edits to the image, name, view or basic category to the product.
Updating a product name
-Enter the name of the product name precisely so customers can identify the product easily. Eliminate any additional abbreviations, sizes, etc. that is not the exact name of the product then click save.
Here are a few examples:
-Beer/Soda: cannot include pack size ( i.e. 4 pack, 6 pack, single) but can include container size and type (i.e. 12oz can)
-Wine: Names for wine cannot include container size and type
-Liquor: Names for liquor can not include bottle sizes (i.e. 750 ml)
-Other/Accessories: Names in general can not include any pricing or availability info
Updating product Image:
To maintain high-quality images for your app and/or website the whole bottle must be pictured on a white or transparent background with a dimension with one side larger than 450 pixels. Images with trademarks will not be approved.
To upload a photo you must hover over the existing photo and click on it
After clicking on the image this pop up will appear giving you 2 options to upload your image:
- From file: Choose a saved image from your files and upload by either dragging and dropping the file or clicking on the "Choose File" button.
-From URL: Use an image from the internet by clicking on "Search For Product" and follow below steps.
- Click on "Search for product" to launch a Google image search
-Select an image that meets the above requirements
-Right click on the image and select Copy image address
-Back in your merchant portal, right click on the Enter URL bar in the image section to paste
Modification Offers
This is where you are able to view any pending modifications and the status/info of products that you have edited and want approval for the change. Editing Subtitle, Description which includes Basic Category & Views will need an approval by City Hive.
Updating a product category
Sort the product to the appropriate section of your mobile app or website.
Views: Change which category this product belongs to (spirits, beer, wine)
Basic categories: Select which category this product belongs too. Examples - cider, scotch, tobacco,
When editing changes to Views or Basic Categories in the dashboard, your changes will not go live until approved by a City Hive employee.
